The Autonomic Nervous System is divided into Somatic and Autonomic systems, both having sensory and motor components but differing in body functions they control. The Autonomic System manages internal body functions like heart rate, blood pressure, and sweating, which cannot be consciously controlled. UME Health collaborates with a team of physicians and autonomic neurophysiologists to conduct specialized diagnostic tests to measure the body’s response to stimulation, determining the autonomic nervous system's functionality. This evaluation is termed an Autonomic Function Test (AFT).
